What's Quinoa and why should we eat it?
Quinoa is harvested from a plant called the goosefoot. Although many people believe quinoa is a grain; it's actually an ancient seed that has been cultivated in the Andes for thousands of years. It was considered by the Incas to be a sacred food and was used for medicinal purposes.
Not only does quinoa have a high nutritional value, it's naturally gluten-free and considered to be a complete protein, meaning that it contains all nine of the essential amino acids.
